Good day,
I've been interested in older Nauticat sailing vessels (33 to 36') for a number of years. Have made a few offers but not managed to purchase one yet.
Currently I've an accepted offer on a 1983 Nauticat 36'. Survey next week along with mechanical survey and rigging inspection. While I'm certain the certified surveyors will be looking closely at most things, I'm wondering if there is any specific advice on problem areas.
I already know the teak decks need quite a bit of work with caulking pulling and screw heads showing.
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone with experience with these vessels.
Thanks.

Welcome Foster. I have pulled some of my teak decks up and replace with non skid. My 40 has solid decks no core (story on here ). Lots of great info on this site, good luke with your purchase.

Thanks Paul.
Looks like we might be neighbors if I get this boat. I'll be applying to the Port of Everett waiting list.

That would be fun. I was on the waiting list for a little over a year but that was for a 50' slip.
