Hello Alaska people!
We are heading up to Juneau this summer, arriving around July 11. If you’d like a very slow (but cheap) delivery to Juneau, Ketchikan or Wrangell, I’d be happy to carry some stuff for you. Departing Olympia 5/16, with stops in Seattle area and Anacortes available to load stuff on board for you.

Thank you for your kind and generous offer, David!
At last we can take delivery of our 3 new queen sized custom mattresses... <I'm kidding...>
We will make a note on our calendar and let you know if anything small comes up. We may likely be on the WSW [Gulf] side of Prince of Wales Island around that time... and possibly not... you know how cruising plans go...
Let us know if there is any information we can provide you to facilitate your journey.
And most importantly, we hope we can meet in person and finally associate faces with the fonts during your visit...
Cheers, Bill

Soon after we had pulled out of a remote anchorage heading N to Wrangell for a quick stop-and-go, we were hailed on VHF. I was watching some opposing traffic on AIS and figured it was the usual clarification of passing in an upcoming narrow channel.
'Denali Rose; Pyxis on 16.'
Pyxis... that sounds familiar, but isn't the AIS target heading toward us. We agreed to switch to channel 68. David introduced himself, and memory fell into place.
Pyxis happend to be about 1/2 mile astern of us heading to Wrangell as well. If we had departed our anchorage 5 minutes later, we might have run them off the road...
It was great to meet David and Robin in person; putting yet another face with the fonts!
We shared a couple of nice meals in between the local 4th of July festivities.
We hope to rendezvous again while they are meandering about SE Alaska.
As it ends up... we should have asked David to bring some ice cream from Seattle... (We are so glad you hailed us, David!)
Who's next?
Cheers, Bill
